Osteopathy for Adults

Osteopaths treat adult men and women of all ages for a variety of issues and complaints. The osteopath at MAC Holistic care will take a detailed case history, perform a whole body assessment/examination in order to make a diagnosis, create a treatment and management plan that may involve some take home exercises when necessary.

As we age physical limitations are placed on our aging bodies.

Our goal as an osteopath is to help you manage those limitations and implement a plan to help improve your quality of life so that you can keep doing the things you love. Osteopaths understand the important relationship between the structure and function of the whole body. They assess each joint in relation to its motion and in relation to the motion of the rest of the body.

The human body adapts to physical stresses and has an extraordinary compensatory mechanism, and because of this the area where you may feel the pain may not necessarily be the primary source of the problem. It is our job as osteopaths to facilitate positive changes to your health and wellbeing and we do this by looking for the primary source of the problem.

Osteopaths apply different types of techniques to help release areas of stress and tension to help improve flexibility, mobility and reduce pain that's associated with mechanical dysfunction in the body.
